The Taubenschuss winery is a monolith in the Weinviertel wine landscape and is now successfully run by Markus and Thomas Taubenschuss in the 5th generation. And they do so with the active support of their parents Monika and Helmut, who are still actively involved in marketing and production.
Maria Taubenschuss and her son Anton Taubenschuss III were one of the first wineries in Austria to start bottling in 0,7 liter bottles (Bouteillen) back in 1941.

The overriding credo is natural, holistic viticulture, whereby
chemical-synthetic plant protection and commercial fertilizers are avoided. Instead, they rely on their own compost production for organic fertilization and sustainable vineyard grazing with sheep.
Out of respect for nature and the plant, the harvest is traditionally done only by hand.

The winery is certified organic since vintage 2023 and recently became a member of the Österreichische Traditionsweingüter (ÖTW). The wines and sparkling wines have received high national and international ratings, including from “Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate”!
